For the Olympic Games opening ceremony, we had to make a 30-meter-tall inflatable chimney. It had to come up from under the stage, even though there was only 2 meters of space. This tall chimney became an impressive centerpiece during an important part of the show.
The inflatable chimney needed a special machine to keep the air pressure steady while it was inflating. Without this, the chimney would fall or wobble, especially when the wind blew. We created a small but powerful system that controls the air and keeps the chimney firm, safe, and looking great. The design also made sure the whole chimney could be folded flat under the stage and quickly inflated when needed.
The chimney rose up strong and steady, even though it was stored in a small space. Despite its size and the difficult conditions, the system worked perfectly. It combined precise mechanics, smart fabric design, and real-time control for a great show seen by the whole world.
